NVIDIA SLI™ Technology NVIDIA SLI™ Technology - is a brand name for a multi-GPU solution developed by NVIDIA for linking two (or more) video cards together to produce a single output. SLI is an application of parallel processing for computer graphics, meant to increase the processing power available for graphics. With SLI, it is possible to theoretically double the power of your graphics solution just by adding a second video card with an identical GPU. You can choose that your system comes with 2 Video Cards already configured to work in SLI. Click customize to choose a system that will suit your needs. 2 x 8800 GTX in SLI(option) Experience Extreme High Definition (XHD) on a notebook with NVIDIA GeForce Go 7900 and 7800 graphics processing units (GPUs). Blast through today’s graphic intensive games with advanced 3D graphic engines at extreme HD resolution. After a day of gaming, kick back and watch HD videos on your notebook featuring the advanced NVIDIA PureVideo™ technology; high-definition video playback and superb picture clarity on notebook PCs. Enjoy the latest features without compromising performance or frame rates – anytime, anywhere. SATA2 HDD supports RAID 0/1/5 RAID 0 implements a striped disk array. Striping is the term for a RAID 0 array, where data is broken up into small chunks and written to both drives simultaneously, resulting in a pattern of data "stripes" across both drives. Striping data across two drives speeds up transfer times, but also doubles your chances of data loss due to drive failure. RAID 1 is implemented as mirroring; a drive has its data duplicated on two different drives using either a hardware RAID controller or software (generally via the operating system). Mirroring greatly reduces your chance of data loss in the event of a drive failure. If either drive fails, the other continues to function as a single drive until the failed drive is replaced. RAID 5 uses block-level striping with parity data distributed across all member disks. Up to 4 GB of Dual-Channel DDR2 800 DDR2 is the next generation memory technology to replace the current DDR. With the highest speed up to 800MHz, DDR2 memory provides great performance for 3D graphics and other memory demanding applications. This system supports up to 4GB Dual-Channel DDR-2 PC5300 800MHz. Up to 3 Serial-ATA 2 Hard Drivers (300 MB/s) The motherboard supports the next-generation hard drives based on the Serial ATA (SATA) 3Gb/s storage specification, delivering enhanced scalability and doubling the bus bandwidth for high-speed data retrieval and saves. Up to 4 Hi-Speed USB 2.0 The system has 4 Hi-Speed USB 2.0 ports for all of your peripheral devices like printers, scanners and digital cameras. USB 2.0 is the latest connectivity standard for next generation components and peripherals. Backwards compatible with current USB 1.1 peripherals, USB 2.0 delivers transfer speeds up to 40 times faster at 480Mb/s, for easy connectivity and ultra-fast data transfer High-definition on-board audio subsystem, with 4 built in speakers Intel High definition audio interface - Intel High Definition Audio Specification describes an architecture and infrastructure to support high quality audio implementations for PCs.
